🧠 Tingkatkan spelling awareness, karena ejaan yang salah = jawaban salah.

Struktur:
✅ 3 bacaan non-fiksi bertema akademik atau ilmiah.

Tujuan:
✅ Mengukur kemampuan membaca cepat (skimming), mencari informasi spesifik (scanning), dan memahami ide utama.
Tips Umum:
✅ Perhatikan title, subheading, diagram (jika ada).
✅ Fokus menemukan jawaban, bukan memahami seluruh teks.
✅ Jawab semua soal — tidak ada pengurangan nilai untuk jawaban salah.
Gunakan teknik skimming untuk memahami ide utama & scanning untuk detail spesifik. Perhatikan instruksi jumlah kata maksimal agar jawaban sah.
- Baca judul, subjudul, diagram jika ada.
- Perhatikan instruksi jumlah kata.
- ⏱️ ~20 menit per passage.
- Skimming: Untuk ide utama.
→ Fokus pada kalimat pertama dan terakhir paragraf. - Scanning: Cari info spesifik seperti angka atau nama.
→ Cocok untuk soal factual/detail. - Reading for Detail: Baca pelan untuk memahami struktur.
→ Penting untuk matching atau sentence completion.
- Ikuti urutan soal, tapi lewati jika terlalu sulit.
- Jawab semua – tidak ada penalti untuk jawaban salah.
- Perhatikan ejaan & grammar.
- Langsung tulis di lembar jawaban.
- Tidak ada waktu tambahan untuk memindahkan jawaban.
Gunakan kombinasi skimming + scanning untuk hasil maksimal, dan pantau waktu secara cermat.

📄 Butuh pemahaman struktur kalimat dan hubungan antar ide.

You should spend about 4 minutes on Questions 1–5, which are based on Reading Passage 1 below.
The History of Tea
Tea is believed to have been discovered in China as early as 2737 BC, when Emperor Shen Nong accidentally dropped a tea leaf into a pot of boiling water. Over centuries, tea drinking spread across Asia and into the Western world, eventually becoming an integral part of British culture in the 17th century.
The introduction of tea into Britain resulted in new social customs. Tea became a symbol of sophistication and was often consumed in the afternoon alongside cakes and sandwiches. This tradition, known as afternoon tea, is still practiced today. Commercial tea cultivation expanded rapidly, especially in British colonies such as India and Sri Lanka, where vast plantations were established to meet the growing demand.

The Honeybee Navigation System
Honeybees are remarkable navigators. When searching for food, they use a combination of visual cues, the sun’s position, and even Earth’s magnetic field. One of the most fascinating behaviors is their use of the waggle dance, a figure-eight movement that communicates distance and direction to other bees in the hive.
Recent studies have found that bees can recognize landmarks and associate them with food sources.

Are Zoos Ethical?
Zoos have long been a topic of debate. Supporters claim they are essential for conservation and education, providing sanctuary for endangered species. Some believe that animals should not be kept in confinement at all.
